No Jiving an Army Platoon

I’ve always loved the saying “Out of the mouth of babes.”

Here’s the Wiktionary definition/etymology.

Etymology

From King James Bible, Psalms 8:2, “Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength”.

Proverb

out of the mouths of babes

  1. From the comments of children, who are honest and innocent, . . . (comes truth or wisdom).

Usage notes

This expression is sometimes used as a stand-alone phrase, with the implied completion “comes truth or wisdom”

Megyn Kelly’s interview of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl’s Army platoon might be the most terrifying thing President Obama has ever heard.

Listen and you’ll know truth and wisdom is demolishing every arrogant “spin job” the President is whipping up to save his hide.

The end of this ridiculous Presidency is closer than ever, through his own self inflicted “credibility gap.”

One last thing Mr. President, we don’t appreciate your henchmen calling OUR sons psychopaths…every finger you point, there are three more pointing back at you…(another cliche’ I like).
