Now that yet another commuter train with hundreds of passengers has veered off its track, at an unconscionable speed, killing four, it’s time to step back and look at the big picture.
Question: Why does the FAA require two pilots on every flight above a certain number of souls?
Answer: To compensate for human error.
It’s that simple folks.
Pilots are probably far more trained than train engineers too–yet–they realize failure in the sky obviously spells death for way too many innocents.
My proposal is simple…put another seat up front.
By inserting a co-engineer, acting as co-pilot, these deadly shenanigans will stop.
When is the last time you heard a plane crashed because the pilot was messing around with his cell phone?
