Every Click Makes Miley Richer

August 31, 2013

It’s sometimes difficult to look away when the preposterous happens.

I confess, the ruckus over Miley Cyrus’ performance last week, at the “suck up to Hollywood awards,” made me look.

How can someone God made so cute become so Devilishly vile?

My reaction, like millions, is part of the problem.

Mega-stars earn big dollars with every video on YouTube we click.

Those annoying intros that say “skip to your video in 15 seconds” are a celebrity’s vending machine.

Our job as Christians is to make unhealthy snacks in that vendor go stale.

If you want to help Miley and others like her, never click on her name again…ever.

Even an alleged apology is bound to have an ungodly motive.

If she wants to embrace Satan she needs a cold shoulder from God’s people.

Not All Blacks Invited

August 30, 2013

The commemoration of the MLK Jr. march on Washington was lacking a few things.

The first would be tolerance for Black Republicans.

I’m not just talking about Senator Tim Scott from South Carolina.

His “dis” was no surprise.

One can’t be Black/Pro Life/Republican, and expect kindness from Liberals.

There’s a far more famous Black Republican who wasn’t invited to the 50th Anniversary celebration.

That’s right, Martin Luther King Jr.

Though I didn’t watch all the proceedings, I’m confident only parts of the man were remembered; but definitely not his membership in the Republican Party.

What Liberals want folks to forget, especially big shots like Steven Spielberg, who hide the facts in movies like “Lincoln,” is that Democrats were the party of the KKK.

Martin Luther King Jr. also knew Republican Abraham Lincoln was the only reason Blacks were emancipated.

If it were up to Democrats of the Lincoln era, Blacks would be totally reliant on rich Whites for every meal, their housing, and most of all, for a self-serving ideology that treats unborn Black babies like personal property.

Sound familiar?

Bombing Syria–No Doggy in the Window

August 29, 2013

For those who think the solution to problems in Syria are simple, think about this.

If you saw three Pit Bulls fighting, what would you do?

I can assure you, sticking an arm in their midst would likely make you a one-armed man.

That’s the conundrum in Syria.

Two many factions doing nothing but frothing at the mouth.

A tonnage of bombs, hurdling through the air, would only bring three or four more Pit Bulls to the fray.

Evidence is also mounting that the same cowards who attacked our Embassy in Ben Ghazi are funneling weapons to Syrian rebels.

This is far too complex for even a John F. Kennedy type to resolve.

Considering Obama’s record on foreign policy, abysmal in my eyes, he’s in way over his head.

Step back Barack.

This is neither a Conservative or Liberal issue either, it’s just the way things go down when the smartest being on the ground is a bloodthirsty dog not wagging its tail.

Play Your Ace–It’s Nuclear

August 28, 2013

I had to laugh when I read the latest excuse coming out of Spokane, Washington for why two black teens beat to death an 88-year-old WWII Veteran.

Are you sitting?

They claimed he was trying to sell them crack cocaine and the deal went bad.

If this wasn’t such a sad story I’d recommend these teenagers for a gig as SNL writers.

Here are a few more possibilities that may have caused the deadly beating.

1. They wanted the phone number of his younger sister and he wouldn’t give it up.

2. He invited them to his house for chipped beef on toast but they wanted McDonald’s Happy Meals.

3. He told them they looked like Barack Obama.

4. The veteran was trying to steal their sneakers.

(And the Ace they forgot they had, which would’ve had liberals everywhere condoning this poor man’s death, like they’re celebrating the loss of 630 jobs in Vermont, because a Nuclear plant is closing)

5. They asked to join the Fraternal Order of Eagles and “Shorty” told them No “N—–s allowed.”

Natalie’s Ninth

August 27, 2013

If you’ve never been to Tanglewood to hear the Boston Symphony Orchestra perform Beethoven’s 9th, then I have a  30 second snippet for you to enjoy.

The whole performance takes about 100 minutes to complete, with no intermission.

What was most interesting about how it concluded, were the faces of folks on the lawn (me included).

We simply did not want it to be over…the experience was far too heavenly to need an ending.

If you look carefully at the video you’ll see my beautiful wife soaking up Berkshire August sun.

You can also tell the video guy (me) was resting nicely in the shade.

As the sun traversed west, Natalie kept moving her chair east.

I’d guess it was about 9 times she had to scoot herself closer to the shed.

For some, staying close to God means digging more deeply into things we know are best, like Bible study and prayer.

For others, the journey means constantly going after Him to keep from backsliding.

Whichever it is, God’s Holiness and Majesty stays the same.

He’s timeless, like Beethoven’s music.

When what we do is dedicated to the Almighty, our Ode to Joy never ends.

85% Means Nothing to a Liberal Judge

August 26, 2013

There’s talk about how businesses/professions, run by Christians, like a bakery or photographer, should be exempt from working weddings of which they don’t agree.

You know what I mean, the kind where beings of the same species/sex try to pass themselves off as something less than offensive to that great Farmer in the sky.

In spite of the believer’s right of conscience, there are far too many liberal judges who simply don’t care.

But wait…according to this article below, 85% of Americans support the business folk.

Here’s the deal people.

These are the end times–that means for the evil one too, and he can sense it.

Through his lies and deception, hearts have grown colder than ever, and power, in the hands of those who hate God, is at an all time high.

Get ready to make a choice people.

Your money or your eternal life.

A majority is irrelevant to a God hater.

Moon Over Tanglewood

August 25, 2013

At least 10,000 enjoyed another exciting performance at Tanglewood’s Flim Night Saturday evening.

To add to the show, nature kicked in with a nearly full moon rising over the shed, just as John Williams and the Boston Pops were celebrating intergalactic movies like Star Wars and E.T.

Only in God’s timing could this have been so well orchestrated.

In spite of the world’s love for Hollywood and it’s celebrities–He–our Creator, is never out done by tech tricks or Botox injections.

Check out today’s Gospel reading to see what happens when we forget Who the real star is.

Luke 13:22-30

Jesus passed through towns and villages,
teaching as he went and making his way to Jerusalem.
Someone asked him,
“Lord, will only a few people be saved?”
He answered them,
“Strive to enter through the narrow gate,
for many, I tell you, will attempt to enter
but will not be strong enough.
After the master of the house has arisen and locked the door,
then will you stand outside knocking and saying,
‘Lord, open the door for us.’
He will say to you in reply,
‘I do not know where you are from.
And you will say,
‘We ate and drank in your company and you taught in our streets.’
Then he will say to you,
‘I do not know where you are from.
Depart from me, all you evildoers!’
And there will be wailing and grinding of teeth
when you see Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
and all the prophets in the kingdom of God
and you yourselves cast out.
And people will come from the east and the west
and from the north and the south
and will recline at table in the kingdom of God.
For behold, some are last who will be first,
and some are first who will be last.”

Dead Souls Who Stir the Living

August 24, 2013

For as long as I can remember, Patrick J. Buchanan has been a solid conservative leader.

I thank God for the clarity of his latest article, which I’m sharing today in its entirety.

The title is Dead Souls of a Cultural Revolution.

God bless you Pat, for allowing what bothers you to also stir you.

Last Friday, Christopher Lane, a 22-year-old Australian here on a baseball scholarship, was shot and killed while jogging in Duncan, Okla., population 23,000. He died where he fell.

Police have three suspects, two black and one white. The latter said they were bored and decided to shoot Lane for “the fun of it.”

As Lane was white and the shooter black, racism has surfaced as a motive. Thursday came reports that killing a white man may have been an initiation rite for the black teens in joining some offshoot of the Crips or Bloods.

What happened in Oklahoma and the reaction, or lack of reaction to it, tells us much about America in 2013, not much of it good.

Teenagers who can shoot and kill a man out of summertime boredom are moral barbarians, dead souls.

But who created these monsters? Where did they come from? Surely one explanation lies in the fact that the old conscience-forming and character-forming institutions — home, church, school, and a moral and healthy culture fortifying basic truths — have collapsed. And the community hardest hit is Black America.

If we go back to the end of World War II, 90 percent of black families consisted of a mother and father and children raised and disciplined by their parents. The churches to which these families went on Sundays were stronger. Black schools may have been largely segregated, but they were also the transmission belts of patriotism and traditional values rooted in biblical truths and a Christian faith.

Though such schools graduated hardworking, law-abiding and productive citizens, today they would be closed as unconstitutional.

Indeed, all of those character- and conscience-forming institutions of yesterday are in an advanced state of decline today.

Seventy-three percent of black kids are born to single moms. Black kids who make it to 12th grade may often be found reading at seventh-, eighth- or ninth-grade levels. In some cities the black dropout rate can hit as high as 50 percent.

Drugs are readily available. And among black males ages 18 to 29, in urban areas, often a third are in prison or jail, or on probation or parole, or walking around with a criminal record.

Where do the kids get their ideas of right and wrong, good and evil? In homes where the father is absent and the TV is always on. From radios tuned in to rap and hip-hop.

From films where Hollywood values prevail and the shooting never stops. From street gangs that sometimes form the only families these kids have ever known.

Still, crime has fallen since 1990, we are told.

And so it has. But that is only because the baby boomers, the largest population cohort in our history, passed out of the high-crime age group a quarter of a century ago, and because the jail and prison population in America has tripled.

What kind of leadership do we see today in Black America?

What can be said for an NAACP that was lately demanding a Justice Department investigation of a rodeo clown running around a bull ring in rural Missouri in an Obama mask, but cannot find its voice to address a black-on-white atrocity in Middle America?

When Trayvon Martin was shot to death in a murky incident in Sanford, Fla., Jesse Jackson rushed there to declare: “Blacks are under attack. … Killing us is big business.” Trayvon was “shot down in cold blood by a vigilante … murdered and martyred.”

After Chris Lane’s cold-blooded murder, Jesse tweeted: This sort of thing is to be “frowned upon.”

If I had a son, said President Obama, he would have looked like Trayvon; 35 years ago, I could have been Trayvon. Can the president not find his voice to speak to the parents of Chris Lane?

Since Lyndon Johnson took office, 50 years ago, we have spent trillions on his programs for health care, housing, education, food stamps, welfare and civil rights. Are we living in that Great Society we were promised?

In that same decade, we were told that the social, cultural and moral revolution bursting forth on the campuses would rid us of the repressive old-time morality and Old Time Religion, and lead to a more equal, just, humane and better America, a beacon to mankind.

Yet, are not the killers of Chris Lane who shot him for the fun of it the “do-your-own-thing!” children of that cultural revolution?

The death of Trayvon was said to be reflective of the real America, a country where black folks live in constant fear of white vigilantes and white racist cops. What nonsense.

In the real America, interracial violence is overwhelming black-on-white. Even if the media will not report it, everybody knows it.

And journalists will not dig into the numbers that prove it, for the truth would undermine their ideology and contradict the narrative that governs and gives meaning to their lives.

For liberals, America is always “Mississippi Burning.” It just has to be that way.

Obama’s Bad ID in Texas

August 23, 2013

If there’s one thing Texans don’t care much for, it’s the Federal government telling them how to run their state.

Not long ago some liberal hopefuls were dreaming of a day when Texas would vote Democrat in the Presidential election.

What they didn’t account for is a new law passed in the State that required identification before casting a vote.

Aw…doesn’t that just mess things up for Democrats?

I mean, how else would Texas go blue if there wasn’t a bit of cheating going on with millions of undocumented voters?

And what does the President do to help his cause?

That’s right, he brings a law suit against Texas, charging that mean-spirited people are trying to disenfranchise legitimate voters.

If they’re so legit, let’s see them get on a plane, or cash a welfare check without ID.

Just for once, I’d love to see the look on a liberal’s face when he or she went to their neighborhood voting station and got turned away.

Not because they didn’t have ID, but because someone else, without ID, has voted in their name.

What would they say to the volunteer worker at the polls?

Hey, why didn’t you check their ID?

The Two Faced Priests

August 22, 2013

Experts told their mother her baby had two heads–abort it.

A mother’s instinct is always right.

She refused the free “choice” she had in Chile.

All I can say, God has multiplied your faith.

He always does.

What lie from the pit of Hell are you rejecting right now?

It’s never the Truth.

Trust your instincts and God will double your ministry to the lost.
