Pope’s Remarks Allow Gay Men One Man

For those hoping the Pope has shifted the Catholic position on Homosexuality, you may be a bit disappointed.

He actually doubled down on Truth.

Here’s the bottom line.

Christ came to die for sinners.

Sex outside Holy Matrimony is sin.

The Pope is asking us not to condemn those with same-sex attraction, but to encourage them to embrace forgiveness through Christ on Calvary and His shed blood.

In order for these men, (and women) to find salvation, like the woman caught in adultery, where Jesus asks those without sin to cast the first stone, He concludes by saying to her “your sins are forgiven, but go and sin no more.”

The message is clear…choose Christ as your lover…and if you see no point in entering a real marriage, then embrace chastity.

Not exactly what Liberals want, and the New York Times can’t be counted on to report the whole message.

Here’s an excerpt from the Catechism of the Catholic Church, which the Pope referred to in his interview.

Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.

That sounds perfect to me.
