For those upset about the outlandish spending the Obama’s have forced upon the taxpayer, supporting safaris to Africa and shopping sprees in Europe etc…take heart.
Here’s an interesting lesson from 2 Corinthians 8:
For you know the gracious act of our Lord Jesus Christ,
that for your sake he became poor although he was rich,
so that by his poverty you might become rich.
Too often, we think the reason one should seek riches is so life can be more luxurious.
As a capitalist, is it not better to accumulate wealth for two reasons?
The first to help our families, but the second–to give to those unable to give back?
When we give to our equals, who can return the favor, that’s not charity, that’s just normal living.
When we give anonymously to the weak, we’ve touched heaven.
When we achieve fame and monetary freedom, and hoard what we have, God cannot help but balance things out…in our afterlife if needed.
Christ came not from poverty in heaven, but indescribable wealth.
He assumed nothing on earth, other than faith in a Holy Father.
With that poured out life, He actually re-earned His wealthy status as King.
What are you striving for?
If it’s wealth for wealth’s sake, it won’t last long…that is…until you breathe the last, or until you’re President no more.
