The Incorruptible Power-ball Ticket

So much talk lately has centered around the two winners of nearly a half billion dollar lottery game.

Our Pastor even talked about how all of us who played most likely dreamed of things we might do if lucky enough to win.

I’m here to tell you there’s an incorruptible ticket you should already have.

And it costs even less than the $2 earthly version.

Check this out from Matthew 6:19

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.

There’s a video going around that shows one of the winners at the moment he realizes he has the correct numbers.

Clearly, all of us would react the same way… jubilantly.

But…based on the promises of Christ in Matthew 6, should we not have that same attitude every day of our lives?

Is not half a billion dollars just loose change compared to what the Almighty has done for us through salvation and then multiplied if we’re using our testimony to save souls?

Here’s another interesting verse, Mark 8:36, that shows us the value of a soul.

What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?

Dear friends, congratulations…your faith in Christ has won you a far greater prize than you could ever count.

Help us all Lord to tell others of their winnings.

And, even better, where we’re going, the reward for selecting the winning ticket, or path to glory, never ever runs out.

Indescribable and incorruptible.

Amen.
