25 Years Ago Today

My wife and I were both in our twenties when God gave us Marisa.

She turns 25 today and this significant milestone marks a quarter century for the person I believe is one of the most underrated heroes in our world.

For those of you who don’t know, Marisa is the same little girl who inspired the Father Daughter Valentine Dance movement that spread across the country, beginning way back in 1993.

She’s also, at least in my mind, one of the most wonderfully gifted, yet undiscovered singing voices in America.

Someday soon, and those of you who know Marisa would agree, her voice will touch millions.

In the meantime, because she uses it to touch one person at a time, no matter how small, she’s making the world a better place.

Happy Birthday and God bless you little “Binty.”

I’m so proud to be your father.

What a gift God has given not only you but the world. You are truly blessed. You and Natalie have both been strong role models to her. She has an incredible voice and a way with kids that shines through in this video. Thanks for sharing.

So moving! You, Natalie and Marisa are a true testament to what love, family and Faith can do, combined. She is very inspiring. Happy Birthday to Marisa … 🙂
