14 Things to See in Stockbridge

For those of you within a driving distance of Eden Hill in Stockbridge, there’s a new outdoor activity that’s worth taking a look at.

Paid for through a gift by a “helper,” the Marian Fathers have erected fourteen of the most elaborate and inspiring scenes depicting our little pilgrimage, a.k.a., the Stations of the Cross.

I’ve always marveled at the beautiful wood carved version on the walls that we have at our Church, St. Mark’s, in Pittsfield.

Our Bishop recently told our new associate Priest, Father Tomas, that he’d be transferred to one of the most beautiful churches in Western Massachusetts.

That was true.

In addition to seeing St. Mark’s, I hope that Father Tomas, and others in the area, will take the time to walk the Way of the Cross at Eden Hill.

Admission is free, but the value of seeing Christ’s labor of love, memorialized in bronze, is priceless.
