Obama or Cosby–Who’s Real Black Leader?

In what may be one of my more controversial posts, the question about the President’s inability to confront African-American crime has to be addressed.

It was recently noted in an article by Michelle Alexander in the Huffington Post, that there are currently more Black Men in prison than there were Black Men Slaves in the year 1850 in the U.S.

That’s not to say I endorse or relish either–the opposite is true.

My point is, great Black leaders, like Bill Cosby, have confronted the issue of Black crime and Black fatherless homes because they actually care about what’s going on in their community.

President Obama, as far as I can remember, has remained silent in that area.

True, he is setting a good example by staying in a committed marriage with his wife and children, but, is that enough?
